| If
you need to set up day-after rules for staff, you enter these in OnCall's Day-after
rules box. An on rule might stipulate that a person on shift A
does shift B the next day, two days later, etc. An off rule describes
shifts people cannot do on the same day, the next day or on days subsequent to being on a
shift. Bring up the calendar, and click on a
shift or service heading to the left of the schedule to bring up the Infobox.

Click on the Day-after rules button to add
your on or off rules.

Off-rule example: if staff can't take call
two nights in a row, or can't do two shifts on the same day, you can enter that as a day-after
rule. Make sure off rules is selected, and set up the grid of
shifts that people cannot do in sequence, or on the same day. In this example staff can't
take call two nights in a row and they can't be on "Backup" if they are on
"Call". OnCall prevents you from entering "Athas, J" on the second day
- his initials are not available for selection.
You may set both off and on rules for each shift or
service.
