If you're putting OnCall on a file
share, you install the client application from our web site as you would
for a standalone user. You need
to create a small text file in the folder where you put the application.
The file needs to be called oncall.cfg and for starters, you can
simply put the word "hello" or any other letter, word or note into the
file. When someone launches
OnCall, the software looks for the oncall.cfg file in the same folder
where the OnCall.exe file resides. If the file is there, OnCall assumes
it's running from a shared network application server. Normally, OnCall
puts its scratch files in the same folder where the software is
installed. In the network installation, OnCall puts the scratch files in
each user's TEMP folder.
