OnCall runs under Windows 95, 98 ME, 2000, XP and NT. If
you use a Mac, you can run OnCall with any 32-bit Windows emulator such as SoftWindows or
VirtualPC.
Installing OnCall...
If your browser allows it, run the program directly from
the web site. When it runs, click the "Extract" button, and you'll be ready to
use OnCall.
Otherwise, save the file to your computer. The file is
called "OnCallTR.exe". "OnCallTR" is an install file; you need to run
it once to install the software on your computer. If you can't find it or have trouble
running the file, go to Find in the Windows Start menu and search for the
file "OnCallTR". When found, double click on it. If you know where the file is,
use Windows Explorer to find and run it.
When you run "OnCallTR.exe", a setup dialog
should appear. Unless you have good reasons for changing the defaults, do not alter the
setup options. Click the 'Extract' button to install the software.
If all goes well, a folder with two icons should appear on
your desktop, one for the software and one for the on-line help. Double click on the 'ICU'
icon to start OnCall. If you later close the OnCall folder, go to the Windows Start
menu, click Programs, and find the "OnCall Scheduler".
